I do remember the day we studied Philippians 2:3: “In humility consider others better than yourselves” (NIV). After the teacher read the passage, he asked this question: “Think about the person to your left. ” I looked to my left. Guess who I saw? Harold. His head had fallen forward, mouth open. Harold more important than me? I had the health, the glib tongue, the (ahem) hours of graduate work.
